Where it shines

- Still my strongest high-altitude thinking surface for operating models, organizational strategy, and process architecture.
- ChatGPT Work can carry context across files, apps, browser tasks, and polished business artifacts.
- Codex gives the same ecosystem a repository-aware execution lane for targeted and long-running coding work.
Where it struggles
- Responses can feel generic without careful prompting.
- The expanding set of models, effort levels, plugins, and work surfaces creates a routing problem of its own.
- Polished artifacts can still hide weak source context or a decision the model was never qualified to make.
Notes
ChatGPT is where I think and design. Both Claude and ChatGPT see the same projects, but from different layers — ChatGPT saw the growth strategy behind the app while Claude saw the bug reports dictated from the softball field. ChatGPT Codex is in the coding rotation for targeted features alongside Claude Code (deep work) and Devin (complex multi-area). Browser history significantly underrepresents use — heavy mobile app usage.
How to try it
Start in standard ChatGPT for strategy or synthesis. Move a tool-heavy deliverable into Work, or open the repository in Codex when the artifact and verification path matter more than the conversation.
